Permanent Representative to the UN, New York Agshin Mehdiyev of Azerbaijan

Mehdiyev said enough there were enough materials on the arsons committed by Armenians in the occupied Azerbaijani lands in the summer session.

Mehdiyev said the OSCE document on Armenia's illegally transferring its citizens to the occupied Azerbaijani territories has serious misunderstandings and makes it difficult to prepare a new document on its base.

Mehdiyev said that the exact date of the discussions will be determined after consultations end.

Mehdiyev was his country’s Permanent Representative to the Council of Europe from February 2001 to October 2006.

Mehdiyev is married and has three children.

The Azerbaijani ambassador to the UN Agshin Mehdiyev said the GUAM states had submitted a separate document on the Armenia-Azerbaijan Upper (Nagorno) Garabagh conflict to the UN GA.
