Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Asen Gagaouzov of Bulgaria
The government announced last week that it had decided to give two floors of a building in central Sofia to the new commission to use as its offices but Regional Development and Public Works Minister Asen Gagaouzov said there is no such thing as it had been proposed that the whole building should be used by the Administrative Court.
Bulgarian Regional Development and Public Works Minister Asen Gagaouzov said that construction of the Trakia motorway will commence soon.
It is hardly likely that construction of the Trakia Motorway will come to a start with this concessionaire and under this contract, Gagaouzov said before the Cabinet meeting on October 13, reported Sofia news agency.
On being asked about the amount of damages on the contract with the Portuguese consortium, Gagaouzov said that if it comes to paying any damages then the decision will be taken by the court.
Meanwhile, Bulgarian Regional Development Minister Asen Gagaouzov said that the Turkish Sisecam Company`s investment had make a significant contribution to the Bulgarian economy.
Addressing the participants at the conference, Gagaouzov said that the construction sector generated over six percent of Bulgaria's GDP in 2006, according to preliminary figures.
Gagaouzov said that the motorway will be built and opened in stages.
Asked why he pointed out those three companies, Gagaouzov said the concession contract had no specific rules on the subcontracting procedures and added that the companies he mentioned were big enough and had sufficient experience to meet the challenge.
But Gagaouzov said he believed that the consortium would find the money on time.
