Minister of National Education and Scientific Research Saidi Kibeya of Burundi

Education Minister Saidi Kibeya said Tuesday a committee had been set up to review the teachers demands.

Dr Kibeya said they would welcome an agreement that would enhance their capacity in these areas.

Education Minister Saidi Kibeya said the government needs $29 million to build new classrooms and provide other facilities.

Minister Kibeya was also thankful for the contribution of start-up kits that help recent graduates in their entrepreneurial endeavors post-graduation.

Saidi Kibeya is Burundis education minister.

Kibeya says that, despite the problems, free primary education represents a turning point for the country.

Kibeya says international donors such as Britain, Japan, and other governments in conjunction with the UN.
