Brazzaville, Congo - Congolese Culture and Arts Minister Jean-Claude Gakosso has paid a glowing tribute to French writer and politician Aimé Césaire, who died on Thursday morning in Fort-de-France, Martinique.
Gakosso said that Césaire's death was a "loss for the world in general and for the literary world in particular", and described the writer as a role model to several young African writers.
