Cote d'Ivoire's Foreign Minister Youssouf Bakayoko has said the government is planning to organize a conference in September for its honorary consuls to review their role in repositioning the country on the international scene with a view to reviving its economy.
This conference has three main objectives, namely, diplomatic, economic and commercial as far as Cote d'Ivoire's international image is concerned, Bakayoko said Thursday during a press conference.
Bakayoko said Cote d'Ivoire attaches importance to ties with China and hopes to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the two countries in all areas so as to push for bilateral ties.

Youssouf Bakayoko is scheduled to meet his Iranian counterpart Manouchehr Mottaki during his three-day visit, Fars new agency reported.
Bakayoko said since the establishment of diplomatic ties, bilateral relations have been closer with fruitful cooperation scored between both sides.
Bakayoko expressed his appreciation for China's great support for the peace process of Cote d'Ivoire and huge assistance given by China in enabling the African country to implement many projects.
