Secretary of State for the Presidency Cesar Pina toribio of Dominican Republic

Pina Toribio said There is no justification that by this date the officials that have been hired, those that have been confirmed or those that are leaving their posts, if this be the case, have not handed in their sworn statements of their assets as required by the law.

Presidency Minister Cesar Pina Toribio said yesterday that anyone who criticizes the President's proposal to use pension fund money for housing projects and other infrastructure ideas is not acting with sensitivity or social responsibility.

Pina Toribio said that the government never intended to curtail freedom of speech.
