Minister of Development of Northeastern Region Paty Ripple Kyndiah of India

Kyndiah was a member of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly from 1970 to 1993, and he was a Cabinet Minister in the Government of Meghalaya four times between 1975 and 1988.
From 1993 to 1998, Kyndiah was Governor of Mizoram.
Union minister for tribal affairs Paty Ripple Kyndiah hardly created ripples in his long political career since 1970 but his son Waibha Kyndiah is already doing it even before winning an election.
Kyndiah was born to father Shri Paty Laloo and mother Sandrina Kyndiah on 7th May 1928 in Shillong, Meghalaya.
Kyndiah is actively associated with various social, cultural, educational and sports organizations.
Kyndiah is the first Khasi tribal to become a Union minister.
Kyndiah said all his plans for the Northeast would be carried out after consultations with the chief ministers of the region.
