Health, Labor and Welfare Minister Yoichi Masuzoe expressed his intention Wednesday to seek a settlement in the lawsuits filed by hepatitis patients over tainted blood products, including an official apology and financial assistance.

Yoichi Masuzoe is a senior Government MP and a key figure in the Government's Policy Research Council.
