Governor, Central Bank of Kenya Njuguna S. Ndungu of Kenya

Ndungu is currently working as the director of training at the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC), a capacity building network in sub-Sahara Africa on policy issues relevant to development in Africa as well as graduate training in economics.
Ndungu has vast work experience initially teaching at the University of Nairobi Department Of Economics; and has worked as a Senior Researcher in KIPPRA where he led a team of Economists in developing the KIPPRA-Treasury Macro Model for Kenya for use by the Treasury and the Central Bank in analyzing and formulating appropriate fiscal and monetary policies.
Besides working at the University of Nairobi and AERC, Prof Ndungu has also previously worked as a Regional Programme Specialist for the International Development Research Center (IDRC), including working as a visiting scholar to many organizations like the IMF, the World Bank and Economic Commission for Africa.
While giving evidence before the commission, CBK Governor Prof Njuguna Ndungu said they fast tracked the sale of the hotel to not only to recover Sh2.
