Minister for Special Assignments for Administration of European Union Funds Normunds Broks of Latvia
And Normunds Broks has been nominated for the post of special assignments secretary for cooperation with EU financial institutions.
Broks has also expressed his opinion that the economical situation has changed comparing to 2006, although hopes that the government will start the redistribution of EU funds this year are negligible, especially because it would mean halting familiarization with the funds for at least six months, but Latvia cannot afford it, since this process has already been delayed.
He also voiced dissatisfaction with the process of his nomination for the ministerial post and the fact that party colleague Normunds Broks finds himself without a job after the post of special assignments minister for the supervision of EU funds was abruptly dissolved.
