Minister of Agriculture Elie Skaff of Lebanon

Beirut, Lebanon - Ex-President Amin Gemayel on Tuesday accused MP Elie Skaff of "advance knowledge" of the Zahle crime and urged him to turn the culprits in to justice.

Skaff had accused Interior Minister Hassan Sabaa Sunday of having a "corrupt" policy and described Sabaa's tenure as "crooked and discriminatory.

Skaff has denied any involvement in the shooting, which took place at a checkpoint on a road leading to the new Phalangist Party office, insisting the suspects acted independently.

Asked about the claim, Skaff denied he had met Ghazaleh since Syria’s troop withdrawal from Lebanon in late April.
