Minister of National Defense Rasa Jukneviciene of Lithuania

Defence Minister to-be Rasa Jukneviciene said funding for Lithuanias defence system would remain the same, following a meeting with the President.

Jukneviciene said she would not bring it back, but instead would organize general defense training for the citizens of Lithuania.

Jukneviciene said that Lithuania is bringing up the rear.

Jukneviciene said that a truly strategic coalition and defense integration with the Republic of Poland was another important factor.

Deputy chairwoman Rasa Jukneviciene said the commission"s status wasn"t clear, according to reports.

VILNIUS - Defense Minister Candidate Rasa Jukneviciene said funding for Lithuania’s defense system would remain the same, following a meeting with the President.

Jukneviciene said that the charter of the Seimas provides for the possibility for members to unite into working groups on the basis of common views on certain matters.
