Permanent Representative to the UN, New York Jean-Marc Hoscheit of Luxembourg

Jean-Marc Hoscheit is the Ambassador to the United Nations for Luxembourg.
Prior to his appointment, from 2003 to 2008 Ambassador Hoscheit was Luxembourg’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, where among other roles he served as Vice-President of the General Assembly (58th Session) and Vice-President of ECOSOC.
Ambassador Hoscheit has published articles on European political and institutional issues and on the diplomatic history of Luxembourg.
Hoscheit was a researcher, then lecturer and senior lecturer at the European Institute of Public Administration of Maastricht (Netherlands.
Hoscheit is married with two children.
Ambassador Hoscheit has been appointed ambassador to The Hague, Netherlands.
Hoscheit said the elections planned for Haiti later in 2005 would be an essential building block in a long-term effort to rebuild the country.
