Minister of Local Self-Government Musa Xhaferi of Macedonia

Xhaferi is in charge of questions related to the country's political system, which means that he is to coordinate the planned decentralization of power as well as the more effective integration of the Albanian minority into state institutions.
Xhaferi met with 27 ambassadors at the United Nations, including ambassadors from permanent members of the Security Council, officials of the US.
Xhaferi said that while the challenges are great he is confident that Macedonia will remain a unified country.
Mr Xhaferi said the majority of Ethnic Albanians have no trust for the current government led by the party which during the last four years has voted against all the legislation related to the Ohrid Agreement and also had organised a referendum in 2004 against the self-rule rights at municipal level - which failed.
Can any American or German, Italian or Brit, for that matter imagine electing a parliamentarian with such great qualifications? No worries, however Xhaferi has pledged to start taking language classes soon.
Musa Xhaferi is the deputy prime minister charged with implementation of the Ohrid Agreement.
Opening the manifestation, Minister of Local Self-Government Musa Xhaferi expressed hope the promotion would be held annually with increasing number of participants.
