Randriasandratriniony was officially elected as President of TIM on May 21, 2008, at the party's second national congress, while Ivohasina Razafimahefa was elected as its Secretary-General.

What Ivohasina Razafimahefa is defending is the notion of ‘supply capacity.

However, owing to the high cost of such projects, Razafimahefa said he had invited foreign investors, particularly from the US, to invest in sustainable energy projects on the Indian Ocean island.
