Minister of National Defense Aaron Sangala of Malawi

Speaking at French Cultural Centre (FCC) during an exhibition of rock paintings, Sangala said many people in the country were ignorant of the rock art which is a preserver of our history.

Sangala said although there were no rock paintings exhibited from Malawi, it was revealed that the country has the greatest diversity of rock art , which needed to be preserved.

Government promises nurses pay increase, (Malawi Nation, 2006-12-14):-Deputy Minister of Health Aaron Sangala said Wednesday government is working out to increase nurses salaries by 52 percent in a bid to restrain the workers from leaving government hospitals for greener pastures.

Sangala said this when he presided over the opening ceremony of three refurbished laboratories for HIV and Aids and other diseases testing by Howard University Technical Assistance project in Lilongwe.

Sangala said the cooperation between Malawi and China is based on south-south cooperation, and Malawi hopes to strengthen military and defense cooperation with China.

Sangala is accompanying Malawian President Bingu wa Mutharika who is here for a weeklong state visit to China as guest of Chinese President Hu Jintao.
