Minister of Gender, Child Welfare, and Community Services Kate Kainja-kaluluma of Malawi

The case in which the family of the late Minister of Women and Child Development Kate Kainja-Kaluluma was fighting over property has been withdrawn from court.
Kainja-Kaluluma was still MP at the time of her death and she also held two ministerial portfolios in the cabinet of Mutharika, first as Minister of Education and presently as the Minister of Women and Child Development.
Chief Secretary to the Office of the President and Cabinet, Bright Msaka in his eulogy to Kainja-Kaluluma described her as a wise, intelligent and a star performer and carried the country flag high wherever she went.
Kainja-Kaluluma was taken ill in July when she went to the UK to interview teachers for Kamuzu Accademy.
where her condition has been described as deteriorating, sources have revealed.
Minister Kainja-Kaluluma is hospitalised in York City at York Hospital Ward 33 in Room 10.
