Minister of Industry and Commerce Choguel Maiga of Mali
Maiga says this completely shocked Malians.
Maiga says the harm to American farmers from cutting subsidies would not be as great as the harm those subsidies currently cause West Africans, who he says are dependent on cotton revenue.
Today, with money from his family, Maiga has set himself up as a coffee vendor at the main bus station in the Malian capital, Bamako.
The Commerce minister of Mali, Choguel Maiga said that he was concerned about the cotton growers of Africa as they were suffering more than their American counterparts.
