Minister of Home Affairs and Immigration Rosalia Nghindinwa of Namibia
The Ministry of Home Affairs is still burdened by the problem of uncollected IDs that are pilling up at its regional offices, home affairs minister Rosalia Nghindinwa said last week.
Nghindinwa said the ministry was busy working on mechanisms to decentralise some of the functions, such as the issuance of birth certificates to the hospitals and health centres countrywide.
At the meeting, Angolan Interior Minister Roberto Leal Monteiro "Ngongo" and his Namibian counterpart Rosalia Nghindinwa discussed the implementation of the agreement on the issue of visas on diplomatic, service and ordinary passports, the juridical situation of nearly 12,000 Angolan residents in Namibia for many years, the opening of new crossing points and personnel flow along border.
