Permanent Representative to the UN, New York Franciscus Majoor of Netherlands

Franciscus Antonius Maria Majoor is the Ambassador to the United Nations for Netherlands.

Majoor has served his country’s Foreign Affairs Ministry in numerous capacities, including Director of the Security Policy Department (1993-1997); Special Advisor on Political Security Matters, Deputy Director of the Atlantic Cooperation and Security Affairs Department (1992-1993); Assistant to the Director General of Political Affairs (1985-1986); and Head, Environmental Affairs Section, Economic Cooperation Department (1982-1985.

Majoor was his country’s Ambassador to the Conference on Disarmament in Geneva, Switzerland.

Majoor is married and has two children.
