Minister of Local Government and Regional Development Magnhild Meltveit Kleppa of Norway

Kleppa was earlier a minister for health and social issues during the center-right government coalition headed by Kjell Magne Bondevik from 1997 to 2000.

Kleppa is on her first three-day visit to India from October 28 to 31 following an invitation from Panchayat Raj Minister Mani Shankar Aiyar.
