Sayyid Saud said that those whose cards were lost could report and seek new cards before the deadline tomorrow.
Sayyid Saud said the Ministry of Interior, in implementation of the Royal directives on the new elections, worked on two levels; legal and procedural organization.
Sayyid Saud said the Ministry will launch an expanded publicity campaign in March to explain the Majlis' new election process and the campaign would include visits to ministries, government units and other institutions in which employees who constitute a large portion of the electorate work.
The ministry is keen to ensure that the whole election process is honest and fair," Sayyid Saud said in a lecture here this week organised by the Oman Journalists Association.
Sayyid Saud said an agreement had been reached with the Ministry of Education to provide a computer technician in every wilayat to supervise electronic sorting and counting of votes.

The message was conveyed yesterday when Sheikh Saud received at Al Hakim Palace here Sayyid Saud and Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Qatabi, the Sultanate’s ambassador to the UAE.
