Jakhrani said that four other programmes including National AIDS Control Programme, Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI), National Programme for Prevention and Control of Hepatitis, and National Tuberculosis Control Programme are underway.
Jakhrani said polio eradication is a key area of concern and the present government is making all-out efforts in this regard.
Jakhrani said that his elder brother Mir Aijaz Hussain Jakhrani was locked up for two days in the city police station and tortured brutally only because he had decided to contest on NA-208 on the PPP ticket against the nephew of the prime minister, Fahad Malik.
