Permanent Representative to the UN, New York Andrzej Towpik of Poland
Andrzej Towpik is the Ambassador to the United Nations for Poland.
Prior to his current appointment, for two years from 2002 to 2004, Ambassador Towpik was Under-Secretary of State for Defence Policy at the Ministry of National Defence of Poland.
Towpik was Under-Secretary of State in charge of Polish security policy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Towpik is married with two children.
Polish Ambassador Andrzej Towpik said his country was bidding farewell not only to a great man, but also to the greatest Pole in human history, whose words and deeds should remain a great guidance in efforts to make the UN a better organization.
