Minister of Women, Community, and Social Development Naomi Mataafa Fiame of Samoa
Fiame said in Parliament last week that she was concern about the number of MPs putting their constituencies concerns before those of the country.
I have been sitting here and listening to the speeches by the Honourable Members of this Parliament, Fiame said after addressing some of the issues raised by MPs relating to the government ministries under her ministerial portfolio.
Now that CWP is established in Samoa, Ms Fiame said the next move is to lobby for a regional CWPIt is interesting to note that the Pacific out of all Commonwealth regions has the lowest rates of participation by women in Politics, Ms Fiame said.
Miss Fiame was the minister of education for more than ten years.
