Minister of Culture and Listed Historic Heritage Birame Diouf of Senegal

Diouf said Ethiopia was the first country to which the government of Senegal sent a messenger to invite it to participate in the third cultural festival to be held under the theme ''Renaissance of Black Africans.

Diouf said literary works of black peoples through out the world, cultural proceedings, symposiums and other relevant proceedings would be presented at the festival.

The Senegalese Minister of Culture Birame Diouf says the expansion of ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran is high on Dakar's agenda.

Birame Diouf expressed willingness for further cooperation in cultural fields adding that Senegal would screen Iranian movies on the occasion of the Iranian delegation's visit to the country.

Minister Diouf accepted a gift of Baha'i books.
