Mr Koli was reported to have resigned from the Opposition group last week before rejoining them again days later.
Koli said his decision to resign was "after realizing the force that had been put on me from the Government circle to defect from the Opposition.
HEALTH and Medical Services Minister Johnson Koli says malaria continues to be the major killer in Solomon Islands.
Mr Koli said one of the major strategic areas of his ministry now among seven others in the National Health Strategic Plan is the plan to control malaria in the country.
Mr Koli said the short lived and unsustainable results can be attributed to:the country being scattered over a vast ocean,peoples poor attitude about hygiene and sanitation,poor housing conditions andthe slowness to recognise the participatory role of everyone in the control programs.
Mr Koli said the people of Visinoru should allow the airstrip to be reopened so travellers can move on with their businesses.
The latest claim follows the defection of a minister to the Opposition, sparking allegations by Mr Sogavare that Communications Minister Johnson Koli was kidnapped by Opposition agents and forced to sign a resignation letter.

Mr Koli is the latest member of the Parliamentary Opposition to join the Government following the mass resignation from the government of eight ministers and a government back-bencher on 10 November.
Sogavare has filed a complaint that Koli was kidnapped and forced to join the opposition, however, deputy police commissioner Peter Marshall said he would talk to Koli before deciding if the matter was to be taken further.
Mr Koli said malaria also remains the major cause of mortality.
Mr Koli said one of the major areas they are working on was to control the spread of Malaria in Solomon Islands Meanwhile, Solomon Islands interim Police Commissioner claims Honiara is a safer place to dwell in than cities and towns of similar size in Australia and New Zealand.
The Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare alleges Mr Koli was in his constituency for a funeral when he was taken against his will to sign a prepared resignation letter.
Solomon Islands Health minister Johnson Koli says the country is short of dozens of doctors, while a third of the nation's qualified medical practioners are working abroad.
However Solomon Islands national broadcaster, SIBC, says Mr Koli has confirmed that two Cuban doctors are now in the country, with another eight set to arrive.
The paper says Mr Koli had asked the government in July to help repair the ship that services his constituency.
Opposition leader Fred Fono says Aviation minister Johnson Koli has joined his camp, and two more ministers are set to follow as it prepares to try to oust Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare.
