UNITED NATIONS-DIPLOMACY-Suriname envoy presents credentials to UN Secretary General UNITED NATIONS, CMC – New Permanent Representative of Suriname to the United Nations Henry Leonard Mac-Donald has presented his credentials to UN.
Mac-Donald said it was too early to assess the reaction in the country, since the accession is only a few days old.
Mac-Donald has received numerous academic honours, including a human rights and environmental law fellowship at the University of Amsterdam, Netherlands (1998), and a UN/UNITAR (United Nations Institute for Training and Research) fellowship at the Peace Palace in The Hague, Netherlands (1994.
Mac-Donald is married with five children.
