Minister of Foreign Trade Ewa Bjorling of Sweden
Conservative lawmaker Ewa Bjorling was appointed Sweden's new trade minister on Wednesday.
Ewa Bjorling has been named trade minister, to succeed Sten Tolgfors who took over the defence portfolio last week, following Mikael Odenberg stepping down, Reinfeldt told a press conference.
The prime minister revealed that Bjorling has been fined for speeding and dumping dirt outside the site of her new house, hoping to avoid a repeat of autumn last year, when two newly appointed ministers were forced to stand down following press revelations.

Reinfeldt noted that Bjorling had a big interest in cars, and owns a purple 1994 Porsche.
As minister, Bjorling said she planned to \'push for free trade,\' adding that she believed free trade was a factor that could contribute to the realization of the Millenium Development Goals.
Before entering politics, Bjorling was a researcher HIV/AIDS at the respected Karolinska Institute.
Bjorling takes over from Foreign Minister Carl Bildt, who served as acting trade minister after Defence Minister Mikael Odenberg stepped down last week to be replaced by then trade minister Sten Tolgfors.
