Permanent Representative to the UN, New York Bashar Al-jafari of Syria

During the 58th World Health Assembly, currently in session in Geneva, Syria's Permanent Representative in Geneva, Bashar al-Jafari said " The foreign occupation is rejected by the international community.

Al-Jafari said that "Syria sent two letters to the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon and to the current President of the Security Council about the Israeli warplanes infiltration into the Syrian airspace", describing this act as a "violation of the Disengagement Accord which was signed in 1974.

Syrian envoy to the United Nations Bashar al-Jafari says US interference in Lebanon keeps the country from resolving its political crisis.

Commenting on the presence of US Navy warships in the Mediterranean off the coast of Lebanon, al-Jafari said Washington's decision is irrational and further proof of US interference in Lebanon's internal affairs.
