Taiwans team should be Chunghua Taipei in Chinese characters, or Chinese Taipei in English, in the games' official publications, invitations, athletic badges and media broadcasts, Tai said in comments carried by Taipeis official Central News Agency.

Tai said that in the Olympic standings, the Chinese Taipei teamuses the initials "TPE," with the Republic of China's National BannerSong as its team song.
