KYIV, Oct 16: The Security Service of Ukraine has sent materials to the Justice Ministry to stop the activities of the Ukrainian branch of the Institute of CIS Countries, acting SBU head Valentyn Nalyvaychenko has said.
Speaking about SBU activities aimed at checking crimes against the state, Nalyvaychenko said that his agency is investigating three separatist-related criminal cases - against the Sevastopol-Crimea-Russian public organization and over facts of separatism in Transcarpathian Region and in Donetsk.
Nalyvaychenko says he communicates with the President twice a day, at 08:00 and 20:00.
Commenting media reports that the SBU has almost become a department of the presidential secretariat, Nalyvaychenko denied any interference.

We will not allow for our citizens to be dragged into such things and their expansion in Ukraine," Ukraine's Security Service chief Valentyn Nalyvaychenko said at a news conference.
Mr Nalyvaychenko is presently acting Head of the Security Service of Ukraine.
