Prime Minister Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan

Tashkent, 1 November: Russia and Uzbekistan have signed contracts on supplying over 30 Il aircraft of various modifications to Russia from Uzbekistan, Uzbek Prime Minister Shavkat Mirziyoyev said today at a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov.

Prime Minister Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired the session.

Uzbekistan plans to decrease cotton export – premier17 Oct, 2006The aim of the international Uzbek cotton fair is to ensure the transparency of cotton export and establish long-term relations with consumers, Uzbek Prime Minister Shavkat Mirziyoyev said at the opening ceremony of the Second International Uzbek Cotton Fair today, on 17 October.

Mirziyoyev said that "in 2006 the republic plans to produce over 1m tonnes of cotton fibre, of them 270,000 tonnes will be processed in the country.
