Ambassador to the US Le Cong Phung of Vietnam

Ambassador Phung said he would do utmost to lift the Viet Nam-US ties to a new height and increase cooperation and dialogues between the two countries in order to ensure prosperity, stability, peace and cooperation for the two peoples.
During the visit, Ambassador Phung met and spoke with professors and students at the Southeast Asia Studies Program on Vietnam's recent socio-economic development, the success of Doi Moi, or renovation, and on Vietnam - US relations.
Ambassador Phung was born in on February 20, 1948 in Thanh Hoa Province, Vietnam.
