Yemen participates in Arab Justice Ministers meeting SANA'A, May 17 (Saba) - Justice Minister Ghazi Shaif al-Aghbari has returned home following his participation in the Arab Justice Ministers extraordinary meeting which was held on Wednesday in the Egyptian capital Cairo.
Speaking to Saba, al-Aghbari said that the meeting had discussed genocide crimes which being committed against Palestinian people by Israeli occupation forces.
Al-Aghbari said that he had reaffirmed Yemen's fundamental and firm stances towards the Palestinian people's struggle to extract their legitimate rights and its condemnation all Zionist practices and crimes against the Palestinian people.
Al-Aghbari said detainees should not stay at prison without trial, because laws and international human rights accords never allow such measure.
Recently, Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi and Justice Minister Ghazi Shaif al-Aghbari met with the US ambassador to Yemen, Stephen Seche, to re-affirm Yemen’s call for the release of all Yemeni citizens currently held at Guantanamo Bay.
Al-Aghbari said that Yemen will remain an active partner in the fight against corruption, adding that Yemen is determined to utilize expertise from all participants.
Al-Aghbari said that Yemen is taking part in preparing an Arabian convention to fight corruption, adopted by Arabian Ministers of Justice in the Arabian League.
