Dr al-Mutawakil said the government, with its capabilities and available resources, tried as much as possible to reconsider its economic policy especially in relation to its trade and agricultural policy in addition to defining the priorities and learning the circumstances that can affect the food security and giving it the priority.

Yemen, Malaysia discuss preparations for joint committee meetings SANA'A, Sep 15 (Saba) Minister of Industry and Trade Yahya al-Mutawakil discussed on Monday with the Malaysian ambassador to the country Abdul Samad Othman current preparations for holding meetings of the Yemeni-Malaysian Commercial Committee.
Reviewing promising industrial opportunities in Yemen, al-Mutawakil said Yemen is looking forward to an active Malaysian participation in the conference, inviting Malaysian businessmen to take advantage of investment merits provided by the Yemeni investment laws.
Al-Mutawakil said that this symposium was organized to improve and develop consumer law, according to consumer interests and national interests.

In reply to a question on the reasons behind soaring food prices Al-Mutawakil said bolstering wheat again will lead to much unrest.
