Speaking at a luncheon hosted by the Rajnish-Gupta Scaw Limited at the Maurya Sheraton Hotel in New Delhi, Mr Pande said Zambia had numerous investment opportunities and would want as many investors as possible to come to the country.
Mr Pande said Zambia also had huge potential in the mining sector, where new and rich deposits were being discovered across the country with continued exploration.
Mr Pande said shortly after the communiqu was read out for the SADC Extraordinary Summit around 05:00 hours yesterday that the Heads of State had to take the whole afternoon and the night to discuss the Zimbabwean situation because of the lengthy consultations with all stakeholders.
Mr Pande said ordering a recount was part of the SADC principle and all parties involved were agreeable.
Kabinga Pande is a Zambian politician.
Pande was appointed to the position of foreign minister in August 2007, replacing Mundia Sikatana.
Pande had previously been the tourism minister.
Previously Zambia’s Environment and Natural Resources Minister, Pande was appointed to his current position as Foreign Minister in August 2007.
Pande said Zambia is committed to working within the framework of Sadc, AU decisions in resolving the situation in Zimbabwe.
